Autocomplete

BIGGI provides inline code suggestions while you type. Autocomplete connects directly to its selected provider using a key stored on your machine.

Default provider and model

The default route is Inception Mercury Edit 2 (Next Edit) using your direct Inception API key. BIGGI suppresses autocomplete requests until that key is configured and shows one Add Inception API key action instead of a credit warning.

You can also select:

  • Inception Mercury Edit 2 (FIM) with a direct Inception key.
  • Mistral Codestral with a direct Mistral/Codestral key.

Managed BIGGI autocomplete variants are hidden while the Gateway is unavailable.

Configure autocomplete

  1. Open Providers and add an Inception or Mistral key.
  2. Open Settings → Models → Autocomplete model.
  3. Select the matching direct-provider model.

See Bring Your Own Key or Mistral autocomplete setup.

Triggering options

Autocomplete is enabled by default and appears as ghost text. Press Tab to accept a suggestion.

Press Cmd+L on macOS or Ctrl+L on Windows/Linux for a manual request. This shortcut requires biggi-code.new.autocomplete.enableSmartInlineTaskKeybinding in VS Code settings.

You can snooze and resume autocomplete from its status-bar item. If another inline-completion extension such as GitHub Copilot is active, disable one of the two providers to avoid overlapping suggestions.
